The DRAGONS of ANTIOCH
& The Secret of the Languid Pool Immortal

The Karate Kid meets The Chronicles of Narnia in this tale of four average teenagers whose humor and modern sensibilities counterweigh the serious Asian traditions in this martial arts adventure perfect for preteens and young teens. Thirteen year-olds Baker Chen, Bobby Sheriff, Amry Dobbins, and Chandler Caldwell have accidentally uncovered a highly guarded Chen family secret--a witty, ravenous, ancient dragon named Ming whose very presence puts them in mortal danger. Led by Baker’s seemingly frail grandfather, the kids begin highly specific martial arts training in earnest in order to protect the dragon and to save their way of life.

Specific skills are explained to the reader under the pretext of teaching the children both the objective and the history of the arts but are not overwhelming to the story. With relatable male and female characters and a swift pace, readers will enjoy the weaving of the supernatural of the past, present and future with a firm grounding in the martial arts mindset.

The FIVE DRAGON SWORD
A Dragons of Antioch Novel

Initiated in a secret ceremony as disciples of Ming and Grandfather Chen, the Dragons hear a mysterious reference to a 'Five Dragon Sword' figuring prominently in the little dragon's tradition, and which Ming comes to insist is closely linked to  the Dragons themselves. That there are only FOUR of them is something Ming hasn't quite figured out... but when a new girl arrives at their school, the Dragons think they've solved that part of the puzzle themselves.

Her name is Joanie Chae and the Dragons soon learn she has a secret of her own... a martial tradition passed down from her grandfather, and one they find curiously tied to their own through another sword, an ancient blade called the Yuseongdaedo - the 'Heaven Star Sword' - a gift from the Silla king to an emperor of China... and a sword that Ming is convinced is the same sword as their own Five Dragon Sword.

What's more, even though the Yuseongdaedo was stolen centuries before in a bid by the nomadic Göktürks to through the Korean peninsula into war, Ming is convinced that the Dragons - and Joanie Chae - are somehow linked in their shared history of its recovery!
